Valery Manashirova joined SMB Law as a law clerk following her graduation from the
Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

Ms. Manashirova returned to the Firm after spending two summers with SMB Law as a
summer intern, where she attended preliminary conferences, settlement conferences,
and depositions, and prepared litigation correspondence, pleadings, discovery demands
and responses, deposition summaries, stipulations, settlement agreements, and
releases.

Ms. Manashirova also served as a summer intern in the Major Crimes Bureau of the
Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, where she conducted in-depth legal research
and drafted memoranda on issues including Fourth Amendment challenges,
suppression of evidence, privilege doctrines, custodial interrogation and Miranda
warnings, and the admissibility of statements, and where she reviewed and synthesized
discovery materials in advance of trial. She gained substantial courthouse and
chambers experience as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Caren Loguercio, Supervising
Judge of the Suffolk County Family Court, drafting decisions and memoranda,
conducting legal research on the Court’s cases, and assisting the Court during
proceedings and with case management.

Ms. Manashirova earned her Juris Doctor from the Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg
Law Center. During law school, she represented clients as a student attorney in the
Education Justice Clinic, advocating for students with disabilities and their families in
special education matters by conducting client interviews, communicating with school
district counsel, and participating in CSE meetings to secure appropriate services and
placements. She was a student member of the American Bar Association and the
Suffolk County Bar Association. Ms. Manashirova earned her Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology from Touro University.

Working under the supervision of the Firm’s attorneys, Ms. Manashirova assists with
legal research, drafting, and case development. Her research, drafting, and
organizational skills support the Firm’s commitment to providing efficient, thorough,
results-driven representation in property damage, construction defect, subrogation, and
insurance coverage matters. She is fluent in Russian.
